I’m a freelance writer for suite101.com and recently started a series of podcast reviews. After I pick a podcast, I select the three most recent episodes and use those as the sample for my review. I chose Escape Pod for my first, and it included Robin’s story!

I really love your story. It is the greatest one I’ve heard (via escapepod) in a long time! And honestly, I was biased against it when it began (I wanted pure sci-fi), so it won me over and then some!

Let me tell you about your story: I have an 8 month old son who woke up last night for a 3 AM feeding. Now I have a habit of listening to podcasts to help me get back to sleep, but your story was so richly engaging that I couldn’t help but listen to the whole thing — which made me one tired mommy at 6 this morning. But it was well worth it.

It’s wonderful that the way in which your story came to Stephen Eley echos the story’s theme.
