1. Yes, I do have several copies of that shirt.
2. The yellow squares in the checkered pattern look identical, but they are not. If you subtract each one from #FFFF00 you get a sequence of modulated grays. Line those up and normalize the values from 0-26 and you get a string of letters. (Zero is the blank space.)
3. Of course that string is itself encrypted, and to decrypt it, you need a number that's stitched into <strong>REDACTED</strong>

Sloan, I've been meaning to ask you this for a while. What the hell is up with that shirt? Do you just have many copies of it? Is it your lucky writing shirt? Did Annabel give it to you? Should I be running the (many!) pictures of it through a wavelets transform, looking for clues about the book?

Oh, and good job.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the star of that photo is the little pattern of light on the MacBook lid.

No, I left midway into the Kickstarter project. And it's not quite right to say I set out on my own 100% b/c of the Kickstarter project; it was just a terrific catalyst.

Great pix... glad someone inspired you on Kickstarter because you, Robin Sloan have inspired me. I just hope I know how to be anywhere near the entertaining blogger that you are. Yes, you do look somewhat Gollum-like. But what the heck. It's a good look. BTW, I'm a runaway Iowa girl living in Florida.
